Well I have been taken off Vyvanse by the fine state of New Jersey. It has been a few months and my edema has returned and my Gastroparesis has been horrible. Today seeing the Gastroenterologist to see if any of their fine medications can help me with that. My pain on occasion from last year's neck fusion has been dicey. When I have pain now, I cannot tolerate the pain meds due to the Gastroparesis. I had to go to the hospital last month where I was treated like a drug seeker. I only wanted IV Reglan for nausea and Toradol (anti-inflammatory) medication! Filed multiple complaints so that is being taken care of but did me no good as far as how I am feeling. I hope today is helpful and not just another shot in the dark at getting relief.
Well, a letter has been sent to our Senator and they responded that they would get "right on it" regarding the Vyvanse. We will see. They can't threaten to take Dr. Check's license anymore since they have banned the medication in New Jersey!! It is so infuriating that the one thing that helped me and so many others feel at least somewhat normal has been taken away. My neighbor with ADHD is taking 30mg a day and drinks like a fish. It is very disheartening that we spend so much of our lives fighting for things with people that don't understand or don't care. I will continue to fight and we will see what happens. I will keep you all updated.
PS. The itching has been off the charts last month and seems to be lessening as well. Those toxins being released were causing havoc for weeks. Keep hanging in there and we will see what happens.
