I hope you are all doing well. I am out of remission. The last time was this past November, so it is an improvement over last year where I was out of remission in summer and fall. Today so tired after a good night sleep. It almost feels like Chronic Fatigue. I am able to still go and get things done, but at my own pace. I needed to space out my medication as one day it made me so anxious. I ate took medication then waited for a few hours to take more. That was better for sure. Since they finally realized they were not adjusting the right area for my herniated discs, I am not in pain like before (which was debilitating). Does anyone go out of remission on a regular pattern or season? I will be seeing Dr. Check at the months end. Any questions for Dr. Check let me know. Best of health to you all.
For myself, I always had these horrible hormonal issues as well. I did go for the Hysterectomy (most doctors didn't want to touch me), finally Dr. Check referred me to a Gyn in his office. She spent most of the day with my husband and I doing tests and speaking with us. She felt I had endometriosis and she was right. I had a hysterectomy and went through menopause (not easy initially) but it did seem to even me out after a few months. I am older than you and my concern for you would be about losing muscle mass. The problem with menstruation and the disorder is that there already is congestion in that area and on top of it we add the fluid and its problems. I still feel hormonal shifts in my body and it could be the chemicals that are in our cells are spilling out into our blood stream. If the medication is not getting rid of enough fluid I would contact Dr. Check to discuss. After taking the medication daily for a period of time, I did straighten out and my being out of remission was not as bad. I too had crazy periods, late for weeks and just erratic so that I can understand. I was on birth control just to force my body into making me menstruate so I didn't suffer for a month instead of a week before. Dr. Check just told me he has a patient on as little as 2mg a day and as high as 150mg so they could get the same results. Only you can tell if it is not working as well as it should. I was in closer contact with Dr. Check in the beginning and now know what I have to do and take to get the needed results. Speak with him if you are unsure and explain what is happening so he can advise you better.
I'm already at 30mg 3qd. When its working really well I'm back down to 170, 173 when it's working ok and right now I'm hanging out between 179-183. Does it sound like it stopped working to you?
As far as hormones, my cycle was all out of whack when I started the adderall. I would bleed on and off (on nostly) for 3 weeks out if the month. My third month on adderall was much better, my period was only 1 week like it had always been. Right now I'm going into day 11 or so of the on and off bleeding. I've been wondering if the whole syndrome starts to improve after menopause..? I would gladly give up my uterus to feel semi normal again.
Are you able to increase the medication so that the fluid retention is kept at bay? Sometimes you have to also change medications. I am now on Vyvanse which is the best so far for me. Nothing will eliminate everything a hundred percent but you want to be able to be functional with the medication. I was all set up with the pharmacy months back and the medicine stopped working. Had to go back to Philadelphia and started on the Vyvanse and now set up with their new pharmacy First Class (that you mentioned). Sometimes it can be a real pain in the butt. Now I am much better on the Vyvanse. My biggest problem this time around being out of remission was the feeling of being "hormonal". Has anyone else experience this?
Are you feeling better? I'm I'm still out of remission, I gained 3 pounds just in one day. Its really weird, it's like the adderall is helping the feeling j get in my legs... (like I'm melting into a puddle) and keeping the rashes away, but that's it. I'm exhausted, gaining 2 pounds or more every day, and the feeling of the swelling is disheartening.
I have been out of remission for 2 weeks and lots of gastrointestinal problems. My digestion is slow and I am avoiding things that are difficult to digest. Some days better than others. Sorry you too are out of remission. It is the drastic changes in barometric pressure that cause havoc I have noticed, and per Dr. Check. That's great about the pharmacy too. I am hoping not too much longer before I am in remission. I usually don't stay out of remission or more than 3 weeks. It doesn't sound too bad but it seems to go on forever when you are going through it sometimes.
Ps, I'm with you on being out of remission... 8 or so pounds in the last week and my head is THROBBING.
I haven't been dealing with the symptom of fluid retention long enough to notice but I saw dr check yesterday. After I left I found a pharmacy in town called first class pharmacy who is willing to work with out of town patients and fill all three scripts while you're there as long as the dr doesnt write "dont fill until....". Unfortunately I filled the first months at walgreens before I called... but now I know for next time.
