Maria Shriver and new regulations due to press coverage of Adderall!

Well, my good friend Cathy in California told me about the inadvertent problems that Maria Shriver has caused over the use of Adderall. Her daughter was one of many abusing the drug so that they could study more and as she put it "go 24/7". This is affecting us as now we have to see Dr. Check/Dr.Cohen every three months! For those of you living far from the doctor in Philadelphia this would mean four trips a year. If you are flying the costs may be prohibitive! I want to fight this and even wrote a letter to Ms. Shriver but decided not to send it as yet. After I see the doctors in Philadelphia I will ask them if they think it would be helpful. The DEA became involved and are cracking down on all providers who are prescribing Adderall. It is difficult enough to get without ADHD but now it is becoming harder. I will be following up on this and see if anything can be done. This was on The Doctors Show on TV and she is political and made such a fuss because her daughter "abused" the drug that those of us who really need it may suffer its consequences. I will keep you updated on this new problem.
