Hello everyone! If you live in New Jersey and do not have ADD/ADHD, you cannot get the medication "off label" for this disorder. I have been in touch with so many people and have written over twenty one letters. The best way for each of us is to contact the New Jersey Attorney General's Office. You need to call them, then submit a letter stating why you are in need of the medication (diagnosis) and why it must be give "off label." Documentation from your physician who is treating you must be sent as well. The more documentation for this the better. There is a new AG now so this may be beneficial for us as it was the old AG who denied the medication for this disorder in New Jersey. There are three people who work in the Attorney General's Office so you can speak with the same person and not get lost in the shuffle. Each of us at this point must fight for ourselves. You can do this. They will look at each case individually, and you may be able to get the medication you need. The number is: 609-984-5828 Email: ocs@njoag.gov You receive all your info and then email it to ocs@njoag.gov This is the way we help ourselves and bring awareness to this disorder and the medication that thus far works best for us.
I did stay on the Cabergoline for over six weeks and while I noticed a slight benefit, it wasn't doing the job for me. I was Alice slowing going down the rabbit hole. If you are one of the lucky ones to actually have ADD/ADHD (OMG), you can get this medication. So it takes a bit of effort and time, but only you can decide if doing these few things and waiting of course, will be worth the possibility of getting the medication you need. Best of luck and as always, any questions please feel free to contact me. If you are dealing with Dr. Check's office for the letter, contact Laurie Long at: laurie@ccivf.com
Thank you so much for all of the information. It’s worth a try!! 😘
